Nigerians have reacted over the arrest of Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems by the Ugandan authorities
Yesterday, the news of two popular Nigerian singers, Omah Lay and Tems by the Ugandan authorities stirred the internet up. It was reported that the two held a sold-out concert in Uganda but they got arrested alongside the event manager and venue manager.
This problem started immediately Omah Lay gave out an amazing performance to his lovely fans in Uganda.
The Ugandan police force in their own reports revealed that the two Nigerian singers violated the preventive measures put in place to stop Covid-19 by throwing a concert.
Singer, Omah Lay took to his Twitter handle to lament on how bad he’s been treated, in his words he described the experience with the Ugandan authorities was like they killed somebody.
Nigerian have taken to Twitter and other social media platforms to encourage him to stay strong and assured him of coming out of this victoriously.
They also requested that the Nigerian force joins them to help bring them back home.
However, some Nigerians have criticized the singers for going there knowing very well the measures put in place against Covid-19 Pandemic, while many have voiced out on how inconsiderate the Nigerian Government is by not raising a voice to see their citizens get back home in one peace.
