Chief of Nigeria Army Force,  Lt. Gen. Tukur Burutai has refuted claims that people were killed at Lekki Toll Gate, in Lagos State.

On Tuesday, October 20th 2020 peaceful protesters came out in their numbers at Lekki Toll Gate to make their voice heard. Their desire was to end unlawful killings by men of the force.

The Army General however said no corpse was recorded on that night.

Speaking at the promotion of major generals, Buratai stressed that no one was killed that night, those.who claim people were shot are only seeing double.

Speaking at the decoration ceremony, Buratai said: “I am glad that we held the Spiritual Warfare Seminar on Wednesday and most of the decorated Generals today are graduates of the Spiritual Warfare Seminar.

“I must say that the Spiritual Warfare Seminar we had last time, helped us during the last #EndSARS protest to the extent that there was no single corpse, but some persons were seeing double at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State.”

Notwithstanding the clear videos and pictures of people shot and got wounded on that tragic night, the Nigerian Army Force still maintains their stand that those were “photoshopped”.

The 81 Division of the Nigerian Army that were on ground that night said nobody was killed.
