Governor Benedict Ayade Orders Immediate Employment of 2000 Persons, Also Suspends Payment of School Fees By Crutech Students

The Governor of Cross Rivers state has ordered immediate employment of 20,000 persons into the State and Local Government civil service.

The governor also suspended payment of school fees for all indigenes of Cross Rivers state , this move was made to make education free and affordable.

In the Governor’s address, he said means to create more jobs in the state for young people is their top priority and he will ensure every graduate has something doing.

According to Governor Benedict Ayade they do not owe workers salaries or pension despite little allocation from the Federal government. Notwithstanding, payment of gratuity will start soon.

“We have established several industries including the ultra-modern rice mill, Ogoja, Cocoa Processing Factory, Ikom, Calabar Pharmaceutical Factory, Calabar Noodles Factory, Frozen Chicken Factory, Calabar Garment Factory, Rice Seedling Factory, Toothpick Factory, Piles and Pylon Factory, all of which have been completed. The factories will soon commence operations, thus providing more job opportunities for our people, including our young people.”
